Case studies

MAIA case studies will be conducted in two main European airports: Brussels Airport and Madrid Barajas. You will find here all the updates in these two case studies.

Brussels Airport Case study

The case study has not started yet.

Madrid Barajas case study

The case study has not started yet.

Next to these two main case studies, six airports have been selected to conduct an accessibility evaluation in the framework of the problem definition axis.

These airports have been selected based on the following criteria: Number of Passengers, Airports Archetype, Geographical Spread, Accessibility Condition, and Business Trips at the Airport.

MAIA will study and describe the accessibility conditions and challenges of these European airports, as well as the risk and opportunities of mobility innovations to face such challenges, and the high-level requirements for tools that help aviation to take the most of such opportunities.

The six airports are the following:

  • Paris Charles de Gaulle
  • Madrid-Barajas
  • Brussels National
  • Prague Václav Havel
  • Rome Ciampino Airport
  • Stavanger Airport
